We had a fairly good attendance at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday. Rev. Martin preached a good message from Revelation 16:17-21. Our pastor gives a pleading invitation to members to attend Sunday School and Wednesday night prayer meeting. Attendance is low in both. You miss a good Bible study, a time of prayer, and fellowship. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance enjoyed a cookout to celebrate his birthday with their daughter, Elizabeth Barber, at her home in Amity Sunday. Willard Lance attended a countywide teachers meeting on Wednesday to recognize those with perfect attendance; and one day he was guest of honor at a cake and ice cream party given by the other teachers to celebrate his retirement after 38 years of teaching. She and Trudy Sutherland enjoyed lunch at Ryan's before returning home. Mrs. Lois Poss visited Mr. and Mrs. Evans Davis Tuesday afternoon. Also visiting them during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Scott Blaine of Dahlonega. They accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Davis to services at Clifford's Grove Sunday morning. The Blaines have purchased land near them and plan to build a home in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. Evans Davis attended the 17th birthday celebration for their granddaughter, Hannah Scoggins, in Augusta Saturday. Whitney Branham spent Friday night with her friend, Dixie Lee Trimm, in Washington. Charlie Branham was 10 years old on Monday, May 29. On Sunday afternoon he and his parents and Whitney had birthday cake and ice cream with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Huff also joined them.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scoggins and little niece, Stephanie Scoggins, visited Mr. and Mrs. Evans Davis Sunday afternoon. The lovely home of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Cox near Tignall was the scene of a cookout celebrating Memorial Day Sunday afternoon after
