Mrs. Robert E. Callaway visited in Columbia, S.C., and Orangeburg, S.C., last week to attend the high school graduations of two granddaughters, Katherine Callaway Hart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward G. Hart of Columbia, and Laura Callaway (Cally) Patterson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Steven G. Patterson of Orangeburg.

Katherine graduated from Spring Valley High School in commencement exercises on Wednesday, May 24, and Cally from Orangeburg Preparatory School on Friday, May 26. Turner Callaway was also on hand for both graduations and Mrs. Turner Callaway joined the group for Cally's graduation Friday evening.

While visiting in South Carolina, Mrs. Callaway and Mrs. Patterson attended the Columbia YWCA's Tribute to Women in Industry Awards Luncheon where Laura Callaway Hart was honored with the Diamond Award for Human Rights for her work as one of three lead attorneys representing poor school districts in the historic funding lawsuit.
