Engineer Bill Niemann fires up the locomotive for one final run on the Washington & Lincolnton Railroad Club's extensive model train display. The layout was disassembled and put into storage this week after some 12 years in place at the rear of a West Robert Toombs storefront. The building has changed hands, and the new owner asked that the building be emptied. "We're going to store it for now," Niemann said, "but our members are working to find a place to set it all back up again."
