Tiger baseball players receive awards

At the annual post-season steak cookout for the Washington-Wilkes Tiger baseball team last week, seven varsity and B-team players were recognized for their contributions to the program during the 2006 season. Pictured above with their coaches are (l-r, beginning third from left) Demont Gresham, Ace Award; Whit Chafin, Best Defensive Bteam Player; Drew Wilson, Most Improved; Clete Wilson, Best Offensive Player; Thorne Brown, Best Defensive Player; Kevin Stasyshyn, Most Valuable Player; and (not shown) Jerrick Darricott, Best Offensive B-team Player. Coaches for the teams are Rob Jackson, Donny Swinson, and Robert Wheeler. Also recognized (at left) were senior players Blake Davis, Mark Tench, Thorne Brown, and Kevin Stasyshyn.
