Carly and Cody win seven ribbons at Kel-Mac horse show in Madison
Carly Cosby and her horse Cody won seven ribbons at the Kel-Mac horse show in Morgan County. Carly's instructor, Debbie Merkert, is on the left. Carly Cosby and her horse Cody participated in the second 2006 KelMac open horse show in Morgan County Saturday, May 20, and won seven ribbons.
They received first place in Beginning Trail; second in Beginner Junior Walk-Trot Western Pleasure (for 13-year-olds and under); first place in Beginner Junior Walk-Trot Horsemanship (13 and under); first place in Beginner Walk-Trot-Canter one at a time (all ages, Hunt Seat and Western); grand championship of Beginner Western Walk-Trot (all
ages); sixth in Open Walk-Trot, Western Pleasure (all ages); and second place in Open Walk-TrotHorsemanship (all ages.)
Carly is the daughter of David and Betty Cosby and granddaughter of Wadine Cosby. She was sponsored by Rockin' Rooster which is owned by her aunt, Joyce Hardy.
Attending the show with Carly was her mother; her horse instructor, Debbie Merkert, owner of Trinity Ranch in Tignall; and friends, Maranda Ramos and Lynn Thomasson of Tignall.
