Funeral services for Lila Mae Quinn Hunter, 83, of Washington were held Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Gibson Grove Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. Dennis Joe Quinn officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Monday, May 29.

Mrs. Hunter was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Willie Ed and Emma L. Quinn. She was a member of the

Gibson Grove Baptist Church and was educated in the Wilkes County schools. She worked as a cook in Washington, D.C., until she and her husband, Otis Hunter, moved back to Washington 15 years ago.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Eddie Samuel, Gregory Samuel, and Quinton Samuel.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
