Amanda Kathleen Cartledge to wed Robert Banks Tate July 22
Amanda Kathleen Cartledge Robert Banks Tate Mr. and Mrs. James Norris Cartledge of Evans announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Kathleen, to Robert Banks Tate, son of Mrs. Joy Martin Tate of Evans and Robert Edward Tate of Mitchell.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wortham Grimaud of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Otis George Cartledge Jr. of Evans. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Bessie Lamb of Harlem.
She is 2004 graduate of Evans High School in Evans and attended the University of Georgia in Athens and Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority at the University of Georgia.
Mr. Tate is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Martin and Robert K. Tate and the late Francis Wolfe Tate, all of Evans.
He is a 2001 graduate of Evans High School and attended Georgia Southern University. Mr. Tate graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is employed by Cranston, Robertson & Whitehurst, P.C., as a project engineer.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 22, at 6 p.m. at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church in Augusta.
