Lindsey Marie Hopkins Marco Antonio Alanis Lt. Colonel (Ret.) and Mrs. Dennis Warren Hopkins Jr. of Fort Worth, Tex., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Marie, to Marco Antonio Alanis of Haltom City, Tex., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesus Alanis of Durango, Mex.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dennis W. Hopkins and the late Mr. Hopkins and Mrs. William Albert Drinkard and the late Mr. Drinkard of Washington.

She is a graduate of Bethlehem Baptist Christian Academy in Fairfax, Va., and Tarrant County Community College of Fort Worth, Tex., where she earned her Associate of Art degree. Miss Hopkins is employed as an Assistant to the Vice President of Residential Operations on Frontline Property Management, Inc., of Fort Worth, Tex.

Mr. Alanis is the grandson of Florencio Alanis and the late Maria Alanis and the late Gonzalo and Angela Aguilar, all of Zacatecas, Mex.

He is a graduate of North Side High School in Fort Worth, Tex., and the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Mr. Alanis is currently employed by Vesta Loftis Kalisa Architects in Arlington, Tex., as project coordinator.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, September 23, at 5 p.m. at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Tex.
