Jay and Lee Durham were honored at a baby shower on Saturday evening, May 20, at the home of Jon and Beth Conard in Upton Mill. Hostesses for the outdoor occasion were Beth Conard, Pauline Bell, Jennifer Cragle, Linda Smith and Shelley Warrenfells.

In honor of the occasion the Mrs. Durham was presented a corsage of daisies.

The occasion was held outdoors around the Conards' pool and tables around the pool area provided seating for the delicious meal of hamburgers with all the trimmings, potato salad, baked beans, baked potatoes and chips. A lovely two-layer cake decorated with blue baby shoes on top and a baby carriage on the bottom was served with homemade ice cream for dessert.

The children enjoyed swimming in the pool.

Guests included friends who vacation together every year at Daytona Beach with the Durhams. Special guests were the prospective grandparents, Joe and Betty Durham of Greensboro and Jack and Vicki Harvey of Washington. Other guests were Rob and Jill Woods, Jacob, Josh and Drew, of Martinez; Renee Young of Troy, S.C.; Olin and Rose Newby, Jeff Warrenfells and Logan, Scott Cragle, Jon Conard and Bill Smith of Washington.
