Wilkes runners complete Peachtree Jr.

Wilkes County runners Ryan Pritchett (l) and Mason Jones participated Saturday in the Peachtree Jr. Road Race held in Atlanta's Piedmont Park. "For more than 20 years families have participated in this race that offers children ages 7-12 the experience, excitement, and prestige of the "big" Peachtree Road Race," Ryan's mother Julie Lewis said. "It's organized and sponsored by the Atlanta Track Club and it's strictly for fun." All 2,500 participants who cross the finish line receive a t-shirt and penant.Mason is the son of Charlie and Tanya Jones of Tignall.
