On the heels of the successful first-ever basketball alumni game held late last month comes the old favorite baseball alumni game which pits Washington Wilkes Tigers of the long and recent past against the young athletes that will carry the torch for W-WCHS in the 2007 season. The game is set for next Friday, June 16, beginning at 7 p.m. at Tiger field, according to head coach Rob Jackson.

Jackson himself, who led the 1989 Tigers to the Georgia State Championship, is expected to pitch again, as are many other former players. The series started in 1999 and since that time the alumni have won all but one of the contests.

"We'll see about that," say the 2007 Tigers.
