Weekend brings benefits

TO THE EDITOR:

We would like to applaud Donna Hardy, the Chamber of Commerce, city officials and all of the volunteers who helped welcome BRAG to Washington.

It is events like this that make a significant dollar impact on our business and the community as a whole. While the businesses in town reaped the benefits of this large influx of tourists, it is through the hard

work of Mrs. Hardy and the many others that made this weekend as successful as it was.

The success of this event shows that tourism on a larger scale can be accomplished in Washington!

We as a small business appreciate the ongoing effort to bring events like this to our community.
