Transportation was provided by the Wilkes County Board of Education. Accompanying the students were Joy Martin and her daughter DJ Martin, Florence Sandifer, and Charles Rhodes. The Biscuit Place and Phil Tanner donated biscuits for breakfast before the group's departure on June 19.
