Members of the families of John Augustus Turpin and Huldah Kansas Burell Turpin held their annual reunion Sunday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. There was good attendance, good fellowship, and real good delicious food. The ones who attended from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Montigny, Mrs. Helen Young, Elizabeth Waites, Randy Goldman, Connie and Misty Johnson, all of Lincoln County, Paul Ingram, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Turpin, Brian and Laura Turpin of Smyrna, Mrs. Cindy Turpin of Savannah, Claude Ingram, Mrs. Florence T. Ingram, Mrs. Lucille T. Ingram, Trudy Ingram, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Glenn, Laura Harper, Bernie Howard, Wendy Howard and family, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Howard of Rayle, Judy Whitener and Mitch, Mrs. Sara Huff, Cassie Goldman, Mitch Taylor, Mrs. Linda Standard, Peyton Standard, Miss Grace Dunaway, Alex Dunaway, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Dunnaway, Mr. and Mrs. Wade Dunnaway, Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Lamar, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Griggs, Mrs. Sara Curtis of Tignall, and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Ansley Jr. Summer Taylor and Jennifer Bruce spent Friday night with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Myers. I visited my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry N. Wallace in Lincoln County, Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Goff of McCormick, S.C., and Garnett Wallace also visited. I visited Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips Saturday and also Mr. and Mrs. Nick Gaines, Trace and Tanner in Winterville; and I visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Palmer in Oglethorpe County. I stopped by Mrs. Jenelle Newsome's for a short visit Saturday. Rebecca Phillips is leading a group from Conyers to do mission work in Juarez, Mexico, for a week. Her pastor, his wife, and eight young people left last Wednesday and will return this Wednesday to Conyers. Mrs. Jenelle Newsome attended a party for the TEL Sunday School Class at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Randall Jr. Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips, Stephanie Haynes, Chip and Skyla were in Augusta Wednesday for doctors appointments. Mrs. Dillyas Wright of Augusta visited the Phillipses Saturday afternoon. Bobbi Thornton and Sara Huff visited Miss Grace Dunaway this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bridges of Washington and Burt Newsome visited us this week. We had a good crowd of people at Ebenezer Baptist Church Sunday. Rev. Huyck's message was "Ask, Seek, and Knock," taken from Matthew 7:7-11. Jimmy Demastes placed a lovely summer flower arrangement in the church. The youth of Ebenezer met Sunday evening, June 25, at Washington Manor. The choir joined them. Don't forget, our bus trip to the Sunflower Festival will be July 1. Happy birthday to Debra Davis, Jane Hudson, Bill Mobley Jr., and Melissa Shelton who are celebrating this week.

Harris, Claude Davis, Bobby Wilson, Mike Webb, Leon Aycock, Thomas (Stump) Bunch, Sharon Williamson, Evans Davis, Jack Crook, Henrietta Leard, Virginia McClearen, Bobby McCarty, Linda Albea, Robert Gay, Lynn Gay, Henry Wallace, Denise Edmunds, Joe Berry, Elizabeth and Sanders Dallis, our country, our military, our churches, our pastors, our leaders, our elderly and shut-ins, and our families.
