One day I overheard these people calling their little dog "Precious."

Of course, I had my doubts about that, and about that time a lady walked up and this little "Precious" just about ate her up. The lady screamed and danced and ran around little Precious as this precious little dog nipped at her heels.

When the commotion stopped, as the one you never trust, the dog's master finally grabbed Precious by the throat and all he could say was, "Looks like I'm going to have to send little Precious to obedience school."

And you know, that really got me to thinking about all the things of this earth that we call "Precious," that turn out to be anything else but that, and are a major disappointment to us.

But there is one in Heaven who is truly precious; one who will never let us down or disappoint us and will never leave us or forsake us.

That precious one is Jesus. He's the one who is so very precious indeed!
