Pam McCarty and Angie Strother show tickets to the Hospital Auxiliary's Fall Fashion Show which are available at various places around The Square. The Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will host a fall fashion show on Saturday, August 12, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the VFW Post Home on Andrew Drive.

Using as a theme, "Step Out in Style," vendors from Washington and the surrounding areas of Lincolnton, Thomson, Greensboro, and Athens will showcase their new fall lines. Local models will add additional interest to the show. Kay Nelms will be the emcee.

Tickets for the event are $12 each and may be purchased from Bee Southern, Den of Antiquities, and Tena's Jewelry, or by calling Lefreda Adair at 706-678-1448. Purchasing a ticket entitles the holder to a delicious lunch, fashion show, and a chance to win some terrific door prizes.

Following lunch and the show, those attending may shop at the "market place" provided by a variety of vendors.

A raffle drawing for a beautiful old pine table made and donated by Bill Sleighter will conclude the activities. Tickets for the raffle are $2.00 each or three for $5.00.

The Auxiliary uses money from benefits to purchase needed items for Wills Memorial Hospital Recently purchased items include a wheelchair scale; pulse oximeter; and 10 IV poles.
