Washington Police tip hotline available for anonymous calls

In a small town, it's tough to tell the police when your neighbors are doing something illegal.
That's why Police Chief Mike Davis has reactivated the Drugs/ Crime Hotline - 706 678-7005. "It's my direct line," Chief Davis said. "Nobody but me has access to it, and either me or my machine will answer 24 hours a day, and we'll keep it completely anonymous."
Washington residents can use the line to report suspected drug activity without leaving their name, and no one at the police station will know but the Chief, he said.
The line isn't for emergencies, he said, but he knows there are folks out there who need to talk to him about drug sales and other crime in their neighborhood.
"Call me," he said, "Let me help you with that problem."
