YearOne's Braselton Bash is a family-oriented car and truck event held at the Braselton facility on the third Saturday of each month through the spring, summer and fall. Many Braselton events are tied to specific charities or community happenings and this year's Bash was a fundraiser for the Progeria Research Foundation.

While attending the Bash, Mrs. Nelms was able to meet one of her favorite television personalities, Chip Foose, star of TLC's OVERHAULIN'. Mr. Nelms has enjoyed restoring old cars as a hobby for many years and OVERHAULIN' is their favorite show.

Chip Foose, Chris Jacobs and A.J. (Adrienne Janic) made special guest appearances at the Braselton Bash mingling with the spectators and car enthusiasts alike, signing autographs and posing for pictures. OVERHAULIN' premiered on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at 9 p.m. Cars are separated from their owners through a fake impound, photo shoot or other trickery. During the week, the team then guts, refurbishes, renovates and paints the owner's bland or junky auto into a unique custom car.

Foose is the legendary designer who makes this happen. In l997 he was inducted into the Hot Rod Hall of Fame making him the youngest member to be inducted at age 31. In l998 he and his wife, Lynne, started Beach, California-based company, Foose Design, an automotive and product design-specializing in illustration, graphics, ideation model making, surfacing and automotive related products.

The new millennium has also meant new endeavors for Foose. In January 2000, he signed a licensing agreement with MHT Luxury Alloys, allowing him to start the production of Foose Wheels. In 2003 he was honored with an induction into the National Roadster Show Hall of Fame. That year he won his second "Riddler" award at the Detroit Autorama.
