Among recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Dan McAvoy have been Thomas McAvoy, Billy McAvoy, Gloria Hardy, Warren and Ann Newsome, and all the children. We are sorry to learn that Vivian Tucker, wife of Mrs. McAvoy's first cousin, Howard Tucker of Harlem, passed away in June. I would like to thank each of you who has been praying for me (Priscilla). I had quite a shock Monday night, June 26, when I entered the emergency room at Elbert County Hospital. I had been in lots of pain and mighty weak, but had no idea I had already suffered a heart attack. After several hours of tender loving care I was transferred to St. Mary's Hospital in Athens where I was in intensive care a week, then transferred to Athens Regional Hospital for cardiac catheterization, and given two pints of blood. Among visitors during this time were Pastor Robert Rayner, Associational Missionary Rev. James Bland, Reba Thornton and daughter-in-law Alice (Mrs. Danny) Thornton, Wallace and Martha Woods, Charles Sherrer, Mrs. Curtis McAvoy, Henry and Faye McAvoy, Corrie and Myra Maxwell and Miranda, Virginia Crawford, Rev. and Mrs. John King. Sonny and Helen Callaway of Monroe visited us a few days before. They heard of me being in the hospital all the way from Florida. I feel so blessed to have such a caring and loving family. Our son Lee of Atlanta met Morrison, Mary Jane, Tyler, and me at St. Mary's and returned home July 4. Mary Jane brought me to her house on Friday night, July 7. Thanks again for caring. - Priscilla and family.
