Life is like the butterfly
Our lives on earth are as unto the caterpillar; gathering and collecting stuff; as the caterpillar eats like a mean-green eating machine.
Then by a command of God, it weaves itself a wiry grave; a cocoon tomb; a chrysalis web, spun for a resurrection. We too must one day lie in our cocoon to await that final day.
So, as with all of God's creating, a miracle transpires as the chrysalis erupts and bursts forth with a beauty, a spirit of life, only God could have orchestrated - a beautiful butterfly, a free spirit!
And we too shall rise and give flight because He lives, we shall live too. For He said, "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."
From a caterpillar to a chrysalis, to a butterfly, so are we from the womb to the grave to eternal life.
Oh God, Lord of all, Great Creator. Thank you for the miracle of all thy creation, for life, and for eternal life.
