Ellen Barnes entertained at family shower on June 25

Ellen Barnes of Charlotte, N.C., bride-elect of Lem LeRoy, also of Charlotte, was entertained at a family shower on Sunday, June 25, given by her aunt and cousin, Aleanne Kennelly and Lee, at the Kennelly home in Charlotte.

Miss Barnes wore cream-colored slacks and a light pink sleeveless sweater blouse.

Beautiful white lilies, blue hydrangea, and delphinium were used in decorating in addition to antique bride dolls and framed pictures of the prospective couple.

Guests enjoyed chicken salad, fresh fruit, marinated asparagus, sliced tomatoes and banana muffins. A vanilla cake with mocha filling was topped with blue and white whipped cream frosting. "Lem and Ellen" was piped in blue on the cake.

The hostesses presented the brideelect an oval vegetable dish in her china pattern.

Guests in addition to the brideelect and her mother were relatives and close friends of the bride-elect and her mother, the bridal attendants, and cousins of the prospective bridegroom, Evelyn LeRoy Fortson and Olivia Fortson of Charlotte, N.C.
