Easton and Matthew Smith attended a junior golf school at River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C., June 20-22.

River Run is a magnificent 18-hole championship course which has hosted Tarheel Tour events, state amateur tournaments and U.S. Open qualifying events.

The school was led by PGA teaching professionals, Jim Lohbauer and Eric Morgan, who are exceptionally good with junior golfers. Each student received 10 hours of instruction to improve their swings and skills in the areas of putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play.

"The golf school helps young players develop the core fundamentals they need to advance and become accomplished players," explained David Ross, the director of golf at River Run.

Easton and Matthew are the sons of Sonny and Jennifer Sanders and the grandsons of Mrs. Debbie Smith, all of Washington.
