Don't Forget The Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Fall Fashion Show will be held Saturday, August 12, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at the VFW Post Home on Andrew Drive. Reeves Chapel Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, August 20, 11:45 a.m. Revival services will be held August 21-25 7:30 p.m., with Rev. Bryant of the Martin Chapel Baptist Church of Athens as the speaker. Regular services are held on the first and third Sundays of each month.

New Suttons Temple Baptist Church, 108 Alabama St., Washington, will have revival services August 9-11, 7:30 p.m. Bishop William Hollis of the Full Gospel Church of God and founder of WMOC 88.7 FM radio station in Lumber City, will be the speaker each night. Pastor Roy Burns, Assistant Minister Katrina Owens and the congregation extend an invitation to everyone to attend.
Heard's Chapel Baptist Church Gospel Chorus will celebrate its 37th anniversary July 28, 5 p.m. Homecoming will be held on Sunday, August 6, beginning with Sunday School at 10:30 a.m. and followed by the worship service at noon. Revival services for the week of August 7-11 have been cancelled.

First Baptist Church, Washington, will have a women's Bible Study beginning Wednesday morning, August 16, 9 a.m.; and Thursday evening, August 17, 7 p.m. The study will be a 12-session study of the book of Daniel by Beth Moore. Cost is $16 for a workbook. These will be available in the church office and at the first session. Child care will be provided.

The Washington Lions Club will have chicken barbecue plates for sale on Saturday, August 12, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the clubhouse on Spring Street. Cost is $6.00 per plate. Tickets may be obtained from any member of the club or by calling Mary Hubbard, president, at 706-678-2422. Orders may also be called in that morning at 706-678-2951. The last barbecue was a sell-out before 10:30 a.m., so it may be wise the get tickets early.
