The Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Fall Fashion Show will be held Saturday, August 12, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at the VFW Post Home on Andrew Drive. The Wilkes County Board of Health will meet Friday, July 28, 11 a.m., at the Wilkes County Health Department on Gordon Street.

The descendants of Tig and Creasy Hanson Willis will have a family reunion at the Tignall Community Center/Gym Saturday, August 5, 3 p.m. Those attending will worship together Sunday, August 6, at the Reeves Chapel Baptist Church and will have a family dinner together in the fellowship hall. All family members are encouraged to pay the $35 assessment fee to Kizzie Stokes.

Samaria Temple COGIC will have a one-night pre-appreciation service for Pastor Albert Finch on July 27, 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be Elder Alvin Holsey of Waynessboro.

Newtown Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, August 6, 10:30 a.m., followed by dinner on the grounds. Rev. James Bland will be the speaker. Revival services will be held August 7-9, 7:30 p.m., with Rev. Danny Green, pastor of Freedom Baptist Church in Commerce, as the speaker.

Reeves Chapel Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, August 20, 11:45 a.m. Revival services will be held August 21-25 7:30 p.m., with Rev. Bryant of the Martin Chapel Baptist Church of Athens as the speaker. Regular services are held on the first and third Sundays of each month.

The First Assembly of God of Lincolnton will have a gospel concert Sunday, July 30, 6 p.m., featuring "Master's Voice." The Sanctuary Choir will open the service. A love offering will be received and a nursery will be provided.

The Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a uniform and shoe sale in the main lobby of the hospital on Wednesday, August 9, 7 a.m.-4 p.m.

New Suttons Temple Baptist Church, 108 Alabama St., Washington, will have revival services August 9-11, 7:30 p.m. Bishop William Hollis of the Full Gospel Church of God and founder of WMOC 88.7 FM radio station in Lumber City, will be the speaker each night. Pastor Roy Burns, Assistant Minister Katrina Owens and the congregation extend an invitation to everyone to attend.

Heard's Chapel Baptist Church Gospel Chorus will celebrate its 37th anniversary July 28, 5 p.m. Homecoming will be held on Sunday, August 6, beginning with Sunday School at 10:30 a.m. and followed by the worship service at noon. Revival services for the week of August 7-11 have been cancelled.

Phillips Mill Baptist Church will have homecoming on Sunday, August 13, during the morning worship service. A covered dish lunch will be served following this service with the meat provided by the church. Revival services will be held August 13-16, with a different speaker each night.

Booker's Chapel Baptist Church will have revival services beginning Sunday night, July 30, and continuing through August 4 at 7:30 p.m. A different speaker will be heard each night, including July 30, Rev. Larry Hill and his church of Atlanta; July 31 and August 1, Rev. Michael Ephviann of Sparta; August 2, 3, and 4, Rev. Camille Holmes of Atlanta.

Pompey's Chapel Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, August 27, 11:30 a.m. Dinner will be served.

Booker's Chapel Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, August 6, 10:30 a.m.- 11:45 a.m. Dinner will be served.

Clifford Grove Baptist Church, Rayle, will have homecoming Sunday, August 13, 11:15 a.m., and revival services August 16-18, 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. A.J. Richardson of Atlanta.

First Baptist Church, Washington, will have a women's Bible Study beginning Wednesday morning, August 16, 9 a.m.; and Thursday evening, August 17, 7 p.m. The study will be a 12-session study of the book of Daniel by Beth Moore. Cost is $16 for a workbook. These will be available in the church office and at the first session. Child care will be provided.

A special healing service will be held at New Saints CME Church, 515 Baltiimore Road, Sunday, July 30, 11 a.m.

The Washington Lions Club will have chicken barbecue plates for sale on Saturday, August 12, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the clubhouse on Spring Street. Cost is $6.00 per plate. Tickets may be obtained from any member of the club or by calling Mary Hubbard, president, at 706-678-2422. Orders may also be called in that morning at 706-678-2951. The last barbecue was a sell-out before 10:30 a.m., so it may be wise the get tickets early.

The Class of 1968 will meet July 30, 5:30 p.m., at 110 Buster St., home of Wilhelmina Melonson. All class members are urged to attend.

Bible Talks will be held in the Mary Willis Library Conference Room Sundays, July 16, 23, and 30, at 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
