Everybody better get their biscuits while they can - Phil Tanner's fixing to get famous, and the lines at The Biscuit Place are bound to get longer.

The Biscuit Place - and the whole Tanner family that runs it - will be on national television this weekend. Saturday night at 9 the Food Network will premier Alton Brown's four-part story "Feasting on Asphalt," and The Biscuit Place is held up as the very best of family-owned, off-theinterstate, eating establishments with authentic family food.

Saturday will be a big day for Alton Brown, he said. "Besides being the eve of my 44th birthday, Food Network has decided to air a "Good Eats" marathon, followed by a 1-hour behind-the-scenes special, "Behind the Eats". Then finally, the premier of "Feasting on Asphalt" if you're still not sick of my face after all that."

Episode One of "Feasting on Asphalt" is called "The South Shall Fry Again," and here's how Brown's web site describes the first episode: "Alton Brown and his team begin their cross-country venture on the East Coast on the Isle of Palms in South Carolina where he lays out the rules of the road and introducers viewers to his crew and fellow travelers.

"With a rev of his motorcycle engine, the road warriors head to Jacks Cosmic Dogs in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, for hot dogs and insight into what makes a perfect roadside restaurant. The next pit stop is the nearby Pitt Street Pharmacy for a chocolate shake, an egg salad sandwich and a quick lesson on the soda fountain's place in road food history.

"Other stops along the journey include: The Biscuit Place in Washington, Georgia, to for a real Southern breakfast and a lesson in authentic biscuit making, the Streamliner Diner, in Savannah, Georgia, and Shirley's Soul Food Caf in Toccoa, Georgia. In addition, Alton swings by the Hobo Hollar, a vegetable stand off Hwy 11 in South Carolina, to taste watermelon and winds up the episode at the South 21 Drive In in Charlotte, North Carolina."

The next three episodes will air the next three Saturday nights - August 5, 12, and 19, all at 9 p.m. on The Food Network, channel 31 on Washington's Comcast cable.

The line for hot sausage biscuits just got a little longer.
