Young Farmers set to hold Truck and Tractor Pull Sat.

The Wilkes County Young Farmers will hold a Truck and Tractor Pull on Saturday at their new facility in Aonia.

The facility is off Highway 78 east, the Thomson Highway, seven miles from Washington off Big Cedar Road. The gates open at 10 a.m. and the first pull goes at 2 p.m.

The admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Kids under 6 are free. Antique tractors will compete from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Hot Farm classes, Modern Farm classes, and Truck classes compete starting at 6 p.m.

There will be a $10 hitch fee per hook.

Driver sign-ups will be held for Antique Pullers 12 noon until 1:45 p.m.; for Hot Farm, Modern Farm, and Truck classes from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

A drivers meeting will be held at 1:45 for Antique Pullers and at 5:45 for all others.
