TO THE EDITOR:

Will you print these concerns for senior citizens of Wilkes County to try and make it better for them. I have done research on the programs that we have for the seniors and we do, or assist by doing the following below:

1) By getting one van to take seniors to and from out of the county for doctors' appointments in other counties with a helper to assist seniors on and off the van. 2) My finding also was an agency

is needed for emergency on placing the blind and disabled seniors in section 8 housing by helping them to fill out an application on rual houses outside apartment, within the county, with relief funds.

3) The legal aid needs improvement too. The legal aid services only help with cases that seniors can resolve themselves. Seniors need assistance in these cases, such as taking money from the blind or any seniors that a crime. We seniors need some support there too.
