Saturday, July 29, is Adopt A Pet Day hosted by the Washington Farmers Market on Court Street in Downtown Washington.

A raffle will be held for a custom made doghouse and custommade cathouse. Free samples of dog and cat food and pet treats will be available and free pet packs will be given to anyone who adopts a pet.

Proceeds will benefit the Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter.

Rosie (pictured above) is a mixed breed young dog, spayed and vaccinated. She is very affectionate and intelligent and likes to be walked.
