The Tignall Homemakers June meeting consisted of a field trip to Parks Nurseries in South Carolina.

On July 20, after a short business meeting, the club had a lively afternoon of bingo during which the president, Sally Kennedy, who was calling the numbers, tried every variation of the game she knew to speed up the process so that all the numerous prizes contributed by the members could be won.

In spite of the torrid heat, most members attended to enjoy the fellowship, the games and the delicious refreshments provided by the hostesses, Louise and Elizabeth Smith, and Evelyn Bunch.
