Landon Bailey, son of Mark and Sherry Atkins of Tignall, and Jason and Erin Bailey of Lincolnton, celebrated his tenth birthday on July 17 and was honored on several occasions.

Landon and special friend, C h r i s t o p h e r Smith of Lincolnton, were treated by Landon's grandparents, Bob and Janice Powell of Tignall, to a trip to the mountains on July 15.

The following day Landon was honored with a cookout at his home in Tignall. Hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings were enjoyed in addition to his birthday cake. With Landon and his parents, Mark and Sherry Atkins, were his brother, Trevor; stepbrother, Dillon Atkins of Alabama, Christopher Smith, and Alicia Barker.

On his birthday, parents, Jason and Erin Bailey, and step-grandparents, Kevin and Rachel Ahrens of Lexington, dropped by with special gifts and birthday wishes.
