Washington-Wilkes Tiger Athletic Director Russell Morgan has announced that it is that time of year again and mandatory Tiger football practice will begin next Wednesday,

August 2, at 3:30 p.m. All players must have a physical on file in the coach's office before starting practice.

Also, for the first time ever, Tiger picture day will be held before practice starts. Pictures for varsity football players will be made beginning at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1.

Morgan has also announced that reserve seats for the 2006 football season are now on sale. Any seats not sold by August 22 will become open for anyone to purchase, he said. Picture day at Tiger Stadium August 1 from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Lift-A-Thon, on The Square, Saturday, August 5, from 6-8 p.m.

At the coaches' Office at the High School on August 9, August 16, and August 21 from 6-8 p.m. each evening.

Middle School Football practice for seventh and eighth graders will also begin on August 2 at 3:30 p.m. And just like the varsity, all players must have a physical on file in the coaches' office before being allowed to practice. If you have any questions please call Coach Morgan at 706-678-2452.
