Rana Davis to compete in Miss Junior Teen Atlanta

RANA DAVIS Rana Davis of Washington has been selected to participate in Nationals, Inc.'s 2006 Miss Junior Teen Atlanta pageant competition on Saturday, August 19. Rana learned of her acceptance in an announcement made last week by Nationals, Inc.

The contestant submitted an application and took part in an interview session that was conducted by Patty Neidert, this year's Atlanta Pageant Coordinator.

Rana will be competing for her share of more than $20,000 in prizes and specialty gifts that will be distributed to contestants. She will be included in the Miss Junior Teen division, one of three divisions that will be for ages 10 to 19, and will be competing in modeling routines which include casual wear and formal wear.

Most important, Rana will display her personality and interviewing skills while being interviewed by this year's Atlanta judging panel. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition.

If Rana were to win the title of Miss Junior Teen Atlanta, she would represent Atlanta and the surrounding communities at the Cities of America National Competition that will be held in Orlando, Fla. More than $60,000 in prizes and awards will be presented while each winner enjoys this expense paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando.

There is no cost to Rana for participating in the pageant. Community businesses, organizations, and private individuals will assist her in participating by becoming official sponsors for her. Through sponsorship, each contestant receives all the necessary training, rehearsals, and financial support which will allow Rana to become a confident and well-prepared contestant in this year's Atlanta Pageant.
