Women's fall Bible study uses Beth Moore's book on Daniel

The First Baptist Church, Washington, will begin its annual fall women's Bible study on Wednesday morning, August 16, and Thursday evening, August 17.

The study is based on Beth Moore's 12-session study of the book of Daniel and is different from her previous studies. The first portion, from Daniel, chapters 1-6, deals with Daniel's life as he faced the kinds of pressures and temptations Christians encounter today. Daniel is a model for how to develop enduring integrity in an enticing world.

The second portion, chapters 712, explores thrilling prophecies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Christ.

"Just as the prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressure to compro

mise his faith in a hostile culture and was constantly confronted by temptations and threats, today's believers face similar trials," Beth Moore says.

An invitation is extended by the church to all women to participate in the study and look at how to boldly live in our modern-day Babylon without falling prey to its allure.

There will be two sessions. There will be a Wednesday morning session from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.; and on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. The only cost is $16.00 for a workbook. These will be available in the church office or at the first session.

Child care will be provided for all sessions.
