Employers, do your employees need to have better business computer skills? Do you have people who need to learn customer service to do their job better or to move up in the company?

Athens Tech will be teaching courses in Excell 2000, Customer Service, Public Speaking, and basic and intermediate Spanish as student demand requires. "We have instructors and courses ready," said Nathan Loyd, "we just need enough students to sign up."

The course on the spreadsheet software Excel 2000 begins September 11, with a registration deadline of Sept. 5. The six two-hour sessions will take place Monday and Wednesday evenings 6:30 to 8:30 at the Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School.

At least ten students are needed for the class. Marcie Simpson will be the instructor.

The course fee is $126 including the textbook. Company purchase orders are accepted.

The intermediate Spanish course will be held Mondays, September 11 to October 23 at the high school from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30, a total of 14 hours. "The first two nights will be a brief review and then they will go into Level 2 for the remaining five nights," said Polly Fievet. "There will not be a textbook, but we will make copies from several different books."

The cost of the class will be $85. Registration is available at the Wilkes Co. Extension Office, Room 109 of the Courthouse.
