The Washington Lions Club will have barbecued chicken plates available to the public on Saturday, August 12, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The plates are for take-out and may be obtained at the Lions Clubhouse on Spring Street. Cost is $6.00 per plate for a half-chicken, slaw, baked beans, and bread.
Tickets may be obtained from any Lions Club member or by calling Mary Hubbard, president, at 706678-2422. Orders may be called in to the clubhouse on Saturday morning at 706-678-2951.
The last barbecue was a sell-out before 10:30 a.m., so it may be wise to get tickets early.
