Dozens of kids (and a few grown-ups) cooled off in a sprinker and slip 'n slide Saturday at a special Back to School Bash sponsored by Washington City Council member Maceo Mahoney. Kids enjoyed water fun, refreshments, and games, and got school supplies from Mahoney. The Washington-Wilkes Chamber of Commerce, the W-W Parks and Rec Department, and the Community Partnership all took part in the event at the Rec Department.
