The Washington Little Company is 35 years old this year and in celebration of that milestone is planning a reception in conjunction with the production of "Steel Magnolias."

It's not just a reception, though. The play, which is being presented at The Playhouse later this month, features a wedding and reception, so this affair will be "Shelby's Reception."

The reception on September 30 will be held following a matinee which begins at 3 p.m. Reservations will be required and theater patrons may attend both the play and reception or just the reception.
