REV. AVERY A lifetime of friends will be gathering in semi-formal attire Saturday night to celebrate Rev. G.L. Avery's lifetime - so far - of achievements and his constant care for his community.

"We will be recognizing his many contributions," said Olivia Jackson, "toward our social, political, and spiritual lives."

The gala will be held in the Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School cafeteria Saturday at 6 p.m. Keynote speaker for the event is Rev. Dr. Cameron M. Alexander, President Emeritus of GMBC of Georgia, and pastor of Antioch Baptist Church North of Atlanta.
