Gresham-Saggus Women on Mission group meets Sept. 7

The Rhetta Gresham-Terry Bennett Saggus Women on Mission of the First Baptist Church met in the Jesse Mercer Chapel Thursday afternoon, September 7.

Gladys Reese presided. She opened with a prayer and welcome after which members joined in reading the WMU Watchword, Colossians 1:10.

It was noted in the magazine, Mosaic, that the mission this year is to inform and inspire the contemporary Baptist woman to influence her world for Christ.

Reports and announcements were given during the business meeting.

Helen Miller presented the program from Mosaic entitled "Voodoo and the Bible". She was assisted by Catherine Thurmond and Mabel Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson continued with the missionary prayer calendar and led in prayer for the missionaries and those with special needs.

Present were Gladys Reese, Helen Miller, Catherine Thurmond, June Chafin and Mabel Johnson.
