Danburg Baptist homecoming planned for this Sunday, Oct. 8
The Danburg Baptist Church will have homecoming on Sunday, October 8, beginning with gospel singing at 10:15 a.m.
The worship service will begin at 11 a.m. All members, former members, neighbors and friends are encouraged by the pastor and congregation to attend the services. A covered dish meal will be enjoyed at 12:00 noon in the fellowship hall. In addition to covered dishes brought by church members, barbecue and stew will be added. Everyone is invited to attend.
Rev. Elton Lawson, retired Methodist evangelist from Lincolnton, will deliver the homecoming message. Rev. Lawson is well-known for his strong evangelistic preaching in Methodist churches throughout Georgia.
Revival services will begin Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. and continue on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. There will be special gospel singing each evening by the St. Paul, Bethany, and Pine Grove Methodist churches of Lincoln County. These are churches that Rev. Lawson has pastored through the years.
There will also be special gospel singing each evening by the Danburg Baptist Church Special Musicians.
Pastor and congregation extend an invitation to everyone to attend all services.
