Tiger FBLA elects new officers; to go to leadership conference

Newly-elected officers of the FBLA chapter at Washington- Wilkes Comprehensive High School for 2006-2007 include, James Cade, president; Brittany Anderson, vice president; Jessica Echols, secretary; Alexis Cantey, treasurer; Tyson Gilland, public relations officer; John Lovvorn, Program/ Projects Manager; and Brittney Davis and Melacia Cullars, Membership Committee co-chairs.
To become an officer in FBLA, members submitted applications to advisors Amy Harkins and Tonya Morgan. These applications were used to measure the members' prior leadership experience, their commitment level to the club, and their interest in participating in competitions.
The officers will be traveling to the Georgia FBLA Fall Leadership Conference in Athens. The conference starts on Friday, November 17, and will end around lunch on Saturday, November 18. While at the conference, each officer will attend leadership sessions that will help prepare them for the upcoming club year.
Some of the officers will also be participating in the Battle of the Chapters competition and the Monopoly team competition.
