Gene and Sharon Futch of Martinez announce the birth of their son, Ethan Collier Futch, on Monday, October 2, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. He weighed 7 lbs. 10 ozs and was 19 1/2 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Nancy Collier of LaGrange and Danny Collier of Manchester. Maternal great-grandparents are the late Jimmy and Lucille Lassiter of Americus and the late Ralph and Hazel Collier of Manchester.

Paternal grandparents are Milton and Dianne Russell Futch of Statesboro. Paternal great-grandparents are Hazel Russell and the late John Thomas Russell Jr. of Washington and the late Eugene and Lillian Futch of Statesboro.

Mrs. Futch is the former Sharon Collier of LaGrange.
