Lunch and Learn hears news about breast, ovarian cancer
Dr. Michele Mason-Woodard addressed the WMH Lunch and Learn on cancer. Wills Memorial Hospital hosted a lunch and learn on October 13 in the hospital library.
Dr. Michele Mason-Woodard, a family practice physician, formerly of Washington, now in Lincolnton, gave a very interesting presentation on breast and ovarian cancer.
Summer Garrison, representing the American Cancer Society, distributed brochures concerning cancer to the group. Pat Niemann presided and said the blessing for the delicious lunchen of chicken strips, baked potatoes, tea and sherbert prepared by Sissy Murray and staff.
A tea and learn will be held on November 9 in the hospital café. Dr. Stan Coe, Emergency Room physi- cian at the hospital, and Washington Chief of Police Mike Davis will speak on domestic violence.
