Carly Cosby and Cody at the Kel-Mac horse show. Carly Cosby and Cody at the Kel-Mac horse show. Carly Cosby and her horse Cody participated in the 2006 Kel-Mac open horse show in Morgan County Saturday, September 23.

The duo won seven ribbons, including second place in the Beginner Junior Walk-Trot Horsemanship event for 13-year-olds.

They won third place in Beginner Walk-Trot-Canter, one at a time for all ages, Hunt Seat and Western; and Beginner Western Walk-Trot Championship for all ages.

Fifth places were won in Beginning Showmanship; Beginner Junior Walk-Trot Western Pleasure for 13-year-olds and under; and Beginning Trail.

She won sixth place in Open Walk-Trot Horsemanship for all ages.

Carly is the 11-year-old daughter of David and Betty Cosby. She was sponsored by Rockin' Rooster owned by her aunt, Joyce Hardy.

Attending the show with Carly were her mother, her instructor, Debbie Merkert, and Lynn Thomasson.
