Many outstanding candidates vied for the offices of president, vice president, and secretary and, in the end, those elected were Ellie Lindsey, president; Marleise Sifre, vice president; and Holley Burk, secretary.

Plans to upgrade the arena at the McGill Woodruff Ag Center were made and a trip to the UGA Equestrian Team competition on Novem- ber 18 in Athens was planned.

The club met again on October 5, for a program on horse riding safety and tack care. Plans for the arena at the Ag Center were updated and Horse Quiz Bowl practices were set to begin Monday, October 16, at 3:30 p.m. at the Extension office.

Several members were congratulated on their recent successful horse show competitions in the north Georgia area. The next horse club meeting will be Thursday, November 2, 2006, at 7 p.m.
