The policy for success is wisdom - it will help our county's people

TO THE EDITOR:

The question was asked, how can we rebuild our county? Here are some things that need to be done if you are asking Rosa Lee Chapman.

This is an urgent message to the ones who are holding the power sets or to the ones intended to run in the election.

I speak only the English language and not well, I must say. But what will attempt to do and say to the people of Wilkes County is that we need to make and overcome some things that have been going on in this county and see if we can get back on the right track, if we are going to make it these last days.

First, we need God on our side and the love of Jesus Christ in our hearts before we can do right. That is what is missing in America, even this county. They need more of God's love in their lives before they can hold a seat and be conservative. Maybe we won't be so quick to set out to hurt one another.

We need to decide here and now that we are going to love God first and our fellowman next, and that we will walk in Jesus Christ's stature. Then and only then can we serve our communities and its people.

The policy for success is wisdom and that is what will help our county's people, if you are asking me.

We need more jobs. We need more foundations with funds in them for careers and education. We need more work places so that the youth won't have to leave the county to

work. We need to improve our senior programs by putting an agent in the county to help the senior citizens. Help is needed on getting off and on the van. The van is needed

to take seniors out of the county for doctors' appointments with a hired person to assist or aid the driver. These programs are a must.
