Jeremy Aleman, son of Jose and Francelle Aleman of Hayward, Calif., was a year old on September 15. He celebrated at a special birthday party with his family and friends on September 16 at the Eden Loren Park in Hayward.

Jeremy's parents treated him to a barbecue and a beautifully decorated birthday cake and beverages.

Celebrating with Jeremy and his parents were his brother, Joshua; paternal grandparents Eddie and Pierrette Hill of Hayward, formerly of Washington; paternal grandmother, Lydia Aleman; uncle, Yvan Hill; aunts, Bertha Manhollan and Nydia Aleman; and cousins, Lene, Nadia, Abby, Estefani and Elyse, all of Hayward.

Jeremy is the great-nephew of Melba Hill and Nusette Stephen of Washington.
