Engaged couple Amy Lannae and John Broadnax of Athens were guests of honor at a Pre-Tailgate Party on Friday evening, October 6, at the home of Tommy and Janet Warner in Athens. Co-hosts with the Warners were Gerry and Cathy Whitworth, Don and Claudia Osteen, Woody and Susanne Chastain, Ray and DeMaris Turk, LeRoy and Susan Dukes, Jamie and Tuter Boswell, Rosie Alexander and Joyce Allen, also of Athens.

For the occasion the bride-elect wore a multicolored Pucci print dress.

The party area was festively decorated in a Georgia Bulldog red and black theme.

Guests enjoyed a delicious barbecue dinner.

The hosts presented the couple Bulldog-design barware.

Among the invited guests were childhood friends of the prospective couple and their families. Special guests included the bride-elect's parents, Tommy and Debbie Wells and Lamont and Cathy Lannae of Washington; her grandmother, Jean Cole of LaFayette, her brother, Trey Lannae of Athens, and sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Russell Rainey of Augusta; the prospective bridegroom's parents, Buddy and Jenny Broadnax, sister and brotherin law, Elizabeth Ann and Pete Brown, and aunt, Agnes Parker, all of Athens.
