The Eta Omicron Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi, of Washington held its Cancer Walk on Friday, October 13, in memory of their beloved sister, Nancy Callaway Long.
They raised close to $6,000 for breast cancer/cancer awareness.
Members of the sorority spent the month of October going out into the community collecting donations in honor of survivors of cancer and in
memory of those who lost their lives to cancer. The response was overwhelming.
On the evening of October 13, luminaries were placed around the square in downtown Washington in honor and in memory of those who have been touched by cancer. The names of those remembered and honored were placed on the windows of the Blackmon building.
