We will have our regular fifth Sunday covered dish meal Sunday at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church. The attendance has been low the last few Sundays but we hope our members and friends will join us. We always have plenty of good food and fellowship. James Sherrer attended the funeral of Roy Teems at Tignall Baptist Church Monday afternoon. Mrs. Gail Hammock of Warwick spent Thursday night and Friday night with Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Mc- Carty. Their guest Saturday and Sunday nights was Eddie Sorrells of Snellville. Mrs. Iris Dyson and Mrs. Roch Filipiak had lunch in Augusta Friday then visited Mrs. Ruth Hopkins at Forest Lake Health Care. She was doing fine and they enjoyed their visit with her. Mrs. Jamie Atkinson visited Mrs. Iris Dyson and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer and Mrs. Iris Dyson were among the many who enjoyed the Rotary pancake supper at the elementary school cafeteria Friday night. Mrs. Ricky McCarty visited Kermit Hocutt and his aunt, Mrs. Mable Fouche, Saturday morning. Dianne Butler and her friend, Vicki Asmer, of Columbia, S.C., visited Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer Saturday. That afternoon they all attended the fall festival at the Wilkes County Baptist Church. It was a fun time. They even had a dunking booth where the men and boys (and girls) had fun dunking Preacher Butch and others in that cold water. A hotdog supper was enjoyed by all. Gay and Whitney Branham attended the Blake Shelton concert at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee Saturday night. Charlie spent the night with Benjamin Hodges. Mrs. Iris Dyson visited Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance Sunday. After deer hunting Saturday morning David Hopkins and grandson, Seth Cook, visited Mr. and Mrs. Evans Davis and Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer. Then they went to Seth's favorite place, McDonald's, for hamburgers. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Huff of Athens visited Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer Sunday afternoon and also Mrs. Allene Lunceford at Harper's Personal Care Home in Tignall.
