Becky Blackmon entertained at baby shower on September 30
Becky R. Blackmon of Newnan was honored at a baby shower on Saturday, September 30, given by Taryn Adams, Carole Abbott, Ellen Watson and Becky Tiller at the First Centenary United Methodist Church Fellow Hall in Quincy, Fla.
Mrs. Blackmon was lovely in a pink skirt and white eyelet top.
The reception hall was festively decorated. Tables held blue covers, fresh flowers and a diaper cake. A giant "It's a Boy" stork was placed next to the massive fireplace for the expectant couple to announce the baby's arrival home. A special table held a fondant cake decorated with a baby blanket and ABC blocks.
Guests enjoyed a seated brunch of breakfast casserole, fresh fruit, coffee cake and sausage wrapped with crescent rolls.
A gift area was arranged with a white bassinet next to a comfortable chair where the expectant mother opened gifts for the soon-to-be arrival. The highlight of the event was a
video entitled "Dear Trey, Meet Your Mom and Dad" which featured childhood photos of the expectant parents, Edward and Becky Roach Blackmon.
Guests were presented favors of small baby booties filled with pillow mints.
Approximately 25 guests attended and included the prospective aunt, Susan Blackmon Hisaw of Martinez.
Mrs. Blackmon was honored on a prior occasion at a buffet luncheon given by Laura Pope in Locust Grove.
Baby ducks was the decorating theme. The table was covered in blue and centered with a large yellow duck. Small baby ducks were placed among the delicious party foods.
Several games were enjoyed.
Approximately 15 guests attended and included prospective grandmother, Glenda Blackmon of Washington, and aunt, Mrs. Hisaw.
